Garlic Ginger Beef

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch, mixed with 1 tbsp water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat the oil in a wok or skillet over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry until browned.
  2. Add the garlic, ginger, and green onions to the wok and stir-fry until fragrant.
  3. Add the soy sauce and Shaoxing wine to the wok and stir-fry for another minute.
  4. Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce has thickened and the beef is coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve hot over rice or noodles, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
